•The archaeological of site of Chan Chan in northern Peru is the largest adobe city on the planet.
•During the Spanish conquest of South America in the 16th century, the Inca Empire was the largest in the world.
•Peru was the last former colony from Spain to declare independence on the 28th of July, 1821, but this was not official recognized until the 9th of December, 1824.
•The Incans would not consider themselves married unless their sandals were exchanged.
